A Quick Look at Genetic Modification “Literally reverse engineering” Kinda Sorta Maybe but Not Really.

I worked in high tech in the late 1970s/early 80s. Because I had studied genetics as a child, I married what I knew to tech.

The picture is a microscopic circuit from about forty years ago. See those things that look like pathways? Electrons flow through them. [This is a fairly simple circuit.]

Let’s call the pathways hardware. The hardware directs the software [so to speak] or what you would call the program.  [And this is quite a simple explanation.]

.

I was a hardware person and I would loudly say,

‘YOU CAN’T RUN YOUR SOFTWARE WITHOUT MY HARDWARE.”

Because if you don’t have the proper hardware, the software can’t run.

.

Let’s call biological pathways chromosomes.  You know—the pathways those little electrons run around in?  We’ll call how the electrons are arranged a program.  The chromosome must be changed to change the program.

.

[I admit I’m not sure if number of electrons establish the biological program or not.  But that’s what I know so do me a favor and go with it.  It’s close enough.]  We’ll call how the electrons are arranged a program.  The chromosome must be changed to change the program.

This video on CRISPR technology can give a visual picture of how it’s done:

CRISPR-CAS9 & GENOME EDITING IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE

In order to change the programming in the human you have to change the hardware. They don’t reverse engineer at all—they guess. It’s like playing darts and saying,

“Yup—I think that will work—let’s try it.”

Because they do not have a complete understanding of all the ramifications of the changes they make, they are experimenting on you—the guinea pig. They are collecting data along the way.

Assholes…

The nuances and differences in messing with biological “circuits,” are nothing like the hard and fast creation rules of digital and/or analog microcircuits.  The way microcircuits are created may be fascinating to me, but it will probably bore you to death.  Sufficed to say these are created with atomic layer upon atomic layer—quite unlike biological hardware.

In the USA there is a law on the books that clears the path for non-consensual Human Experimentation.

50 U.S. Code § 1520a – [no real] Restrictions on use of human subjects for testing of chemical or biological agents

.

.

If you read the law correctly, you’ll see there are no real restrictions against Non-consensual Human Experimentation—just reasons why they say it can be done.

And look at this. When things go awry [and they will] I call it:

I couldn’t believe they were stupid enough not to realize RNA could affect DNA. As a matter of fact—I bet they knew.
